Gary Allen, Managing Director
During his 20 years in the sales industry, Gary held several senior management and directorial positions. Gary has extensive knowledge in business development and has directed sales initiatives in New York, Chicago and Boston. As sales director for Asia Global Crossing, Gary worked with the Reserve Bank of Australia as well as Westpac and American Express. Before taking on the role as MD at Magnesium, Gary co-founded and was president of Trade Lines Communications NY, working with the Bank of America and JP Morgan among many others. Gary is Executive Editor of Luxury Travel magazine.
Lucy Jones, Contributing Editor
Lucy Jones has worked for Luxury Travel magazine since 2010 and was editor from 2012 until 2014 when she left the company to work as a freelance travel writer. She returned to the company as a part time Contributing Editor in 2017.
Katie Milton, Editor
Katie completed a Communications degree at the University of Technology in Sydney before going on to study a Masters of Arts Administration at UNSW. As well as editing Luxury Travel Katie is an art columnist for The Sydney Morning Herald and a freelance writer for Broadsheet.
Grace Smith, Assistant Editor
Grace completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Sydney and has previously worked in the fields of Digital Marketing and Copywriting as well as working in Communications for a not-for-profit. She joined the Luxury Travel team as a Staff Writer and Editorial Assistant in 2016.
Louise is an experienced Art Director who has worked extensively in custom publishing for Pacific Publications, National Trust of Australia, PIAC and Healthcare Complaints Centre. With over 20 years design experience, Louise currently produces Magnesium’s Art Collector magazine.
Richard Bunting, Sales Director
Richard has worked in publishing for over 20 years. Over the past 7 years he has worked within the travel and tourism media sector on a range of consumer and trade publications. He is focussed on finding the right solution for operators within the industry to meet their objectives. With a background across print and digital he is passionate about about working with clients by incorporating print, digital and content solutions.
Shakira Wood, Publisher
Shakira is from London, has lived in Andalucia and Toronto and holds a BA honors degree in human geography from the University of London. She commenced her career in media sales as part of a structured graduate program that fast tracked her career in advertising. In 2007 she moved to Sydney and since then she has worked in publications such as Vogue Australia, Vogue Entertaining and Travel and Readers Digest. She started at Luxury Travel as Associate Publisher in 2014.
